Musings on a Monday: Someday We'll Be Back on Stage

It still feels far away but the doors will open and people will gather and hold each other close and dance until they are exhausted and then dance some more. And we will be on the stages shining or in front of them screaming or behind them doing what we do best. And this weird time of wearing masks and hiding in our homes and forgetting ourselves will feel strange and far away.

Hold a candle in your heart for that part of yourself that feels dormant or maybe even dead. I’m clinging to it even though some days it feels impossible that this was ever me. But it was! You were there and so was I and by gods we’ll be there again and I’m probably gonna cry on your shoulder but we won’t be scared of droplets then.
